Mai 2008 : Phébus lance le mouvement
"free-art" en Belgique!
L'artiste Phébus a une volonté de ne pas
faire comme les autres peintres dont le prix des toiles augmente
avec la notoriété. Il lance dès aujourd'hui le concept "Free Art".
Phébus met en avant la gratuité de certaines de ses œuvres.
Pour Phébus, l'intérêt de ce mouvement se trouve dans l'idée
du partage. Son
vœu le plus cher est que l'art devienne accessible à tous et
qu'il ne soit plus réservé à une certaine élite intellectuelle ou
fortunée.
Phébus lancera cette année des

Philippe Dubois (geboren in Lobbes am 4.
November 1958) ist ein Belgischer Maler. Er signiert seine Arbeiten
mit dem Pseudonym “Phébus”.
Philippe Dubois hat im Alter von 30 Jahren zu malen begonnen. Seine
ersten Arbeiten stellte er im Oktober 1989 im “National Saloon” der
SNCB-NMBS aus, dem Kunstsalon der Belgischen Eisenbahn. Im Rahmen
dieser Ausstellung gewann er mit dem Gemälde eines Segelschiffes den
ersten Publikumspreis.
Er studierte für mehrere Jahre Malerei und Zeichnen in Thudinie mit
Ben Genaux aus Leers-et-Fosteau und Georges Dubuisson, einem
surrealistiscen Maler aus La Buissière, Merbes-le-Château. Zwischen
1989 und 1990 verbrachte er viel Zeit in Amsterdam, um das Werk von
Vincent Van Gogh eingehend zu studieren.
In den neunzehn Jahren seines Schaffens entwickelte sich sein Stil
mehr und mehr in Richtung abstrakter Kunst. Im Dezember 1998 stellte
er seine abstrakten Arbeiten erstmals im Museum von Tubize in
Belgien (Musée de la Porte) aus.
Philippe Dubois hat 35 Jahre in Fontaine-Valmont (Hainaut) verbracht.
Heute lebt und arbeitet er in Brüssel.

Philippe Dubois (born in Lobbes on 4
November 1958) is a Belgian painter. He signs his work under the
pseudonym “Phébus”.
He started painting at the age of 30. In October 1989 he exposed his
first paintings in the National Saloon of the SNCB-NMBS, the Belgian
railway company, where he won the first price of the public with a
marine (sailboat).
During several years he studied the art of painting and drawing in
Thudinie with Ben Genaux (Leers-et-Fosteau) and the Georges
Dubuisson (surrealistic painter, La Buissière - Merbes-le-Château).
Between 1989 en 1990 he spent a lot of time in Amsterdam, studying
the work of Vincent Van Gogh.
In the nineties his work evolved to more abstract art. In December
1998
he exposed his abstract work for the first time in the Musée de la
Porte of Tubize (Belgium).
After living 35 years in the village
Fontaine-Valmont (Hainaut), Philippe Dubois currently lives and
works in Brussels.

seudónimo de Phébus.
Comenzó a pintar a la edad de 30 años.
En octubre de 1989, presentó sus primeras pinturas figurativas en el
salón nacional belga de la SNCB.
Obtuvo el primer premio del público con una pintura que representa
un barco velero.
Durante algunos años, estudió pintura y dibujo en Thudinie con el
pintor Wallon Ben GENEAUX (Leers-et-Fosteau) y el pintor surrealista
Georges DUBUISSON (La Buissières, Merbes-le-Château).
De 1989 a 1990, viajó varias veces a Amsterdam con el fin de
estudiar las obras de Vincent VAN GOGH.
Phébus ha realizado numerosas copias de este grande pintor holandés.
La pintura de Philippe DUBOIS evoluciona hacia el arte abstracto.
Es en diciembre 1998 cuando presenta por primera vez sus pinturas
abstractas en el museo "La porte" de Tubize (Bélgica).
Después de haber vivido durante 35 años en la pequeña ciudad de
Fontaine-Valmont (Hainaut), Philippe DUBOIS vive y trabaja en
Bruselas.

In de jaren negentig evolueerde het werk van Philippe Dubois naar de
abstracte kunst. In december 1998 stelde hij zijn abstracte
schilderijen voor de eerste keer tentoon in het Musée de la Porte
van Tubize (België).
Na 35 jaar in het dorpje Fontaine-Valmont (Henegouwen) te hebben
gewoond, woont en werkt Philippe Dubois momenteel in Brussel.
